Avoid Slip Ups! Try not to hurt yourself when you go to the bathroom

admin November 5, 2014 Remodeling

Have you ever been in a situation wherein you find yourself in a rush to go the bathroom but got stopped in your tracks because the bathroom floor is quite slippery? Or have you ever slipped while coming out of the shower because the floor easily loses traction with just a little moisture? If you’ve been in any or both of these situations, perhaps it’s time for you to reconsider remodeling your bathroom, laying down new anti-slip bathroom tiles to keep you safe from any slip-ups in the future. If you live in New York City or in nearby areas, perhaps you might want to get help from a Queens general contractor for this job.

Bathroom remodeling could be a slippery slope, literally and figuratively. If you don’t know which materials to use, you might just end up on the same situation as before, slipping every time you hit the bathroom floor. Don’t think twice about remodeling, as these concerns could get worse the next time it happens. If you’re lucky enough to grab hold of something for dear life the first time you slip, you might not be lucky the next time you feet touches the ground. If you lose your balance when you slip, you can easily destroy anything on your path, like a mirror, or even the toilet seat. Or worse, you could get seriously hurt, get stitches for an open gash, or even get a concussion if you fall hard and hit your head on something hard. An Queens general contractor can give you a quote on how much the work would cost, and move things along much faster.

While you’re considering which Queens general contractor to get for the job, perhaps you might want to take on some anti-slip methods for your bathroom floor. First, consider getting rubber mats lined up on your path to the shower, so that even when the floor gets wet, you won’t have to be on your toes as you avoid slipping up while you climb out of a refreshing bath. If you’re tidy and you don’t often wet the bathroom floor, you might want to get a rug that you can step on, as you go up and about your bathroom business. Now if you’re looking for the right tiles for the remodeling job, ask your Queens general contractor about the ones that give better grip even when while wet. Check if it is within your budget, and if it is, then good for you. If not, do a little more research, or try to mix it up with some of the tips on anti-slip methods for your floor.
