Home remedies for Turmeric Stains on your kitchen counter
Your home and your kitchen are probably the most visited area in your home. We all want a sparkly clean and tidy kitchen. If there is anything worst then a messy house, it’s a kitchen full of food stains that won’t come out. If you are like me and live in Queens (a borough of NYC) you may have a kitchen counter that’s not so big. The last thing you need is a giant turmeric stain that takes up half of your counter. You don’t need to be a kitchen remodeling contractor to know how to clean stone counters. I will now share a “New Age” tip on how to remove Turmeric off your kitchen counters without having to leave your home to shop for a product:
Grab a bottle of shampoo, specifically Head and Shoulders. I have found nothing works better on a stone countertop than Shampoo. Now Head and shoulders has a burning sensation to it, so I believe this active ingredient for the dandruff is what makes it the shampoo of choice for cleaning Turmeric. Although, I have found that if you treat it quick enough that any shampoo will get the stains or your granite, marble, or stone kitchen counter.
I have also found that Lysol antibacterial spray, alcohol, and bleach will also work. HOWEVER I do not recommend using anything to strong on your counter-top without consulting a professional or running a test on small spot and waiting a few days.
Whenever I share a New Age Global tip, I like to give a shot out to another nice tip that I recently came across. I saw a nice article on Hometalk on how to Clean Vinyl floors.
